How to uti­li­ze Azu­re Ser­ver­less in a real world sce­na­rio – Using Cos­mosDB, Azu­re func­tions, Da­ta Fac­to­ry, hyb­rid con­nec­tions and mo­re to sol­ve real prob­lems by Trond Bran­de (Mic­ro­soft) and Ant­ton Al­kio (If).

In this mee­tup we’ll walk th­rough one or mo­re bu­si­ness sce­na­rios whe­re we’ll de­monst­ra­te the va­lue of Azu­re Ser­ver­less tech­no­lo­gies. Af­ter a short int­ro­duc­tion to Azu­re Ser­ver­less, we’ll show you li­ve how to build a so­lu­tion using Azu­re Func­tions, Da­ta Fac­to­ry, Cos­mosDB, Da­ta La­ke and hyb­rid con­nec­ti­vi­ty. We’ll ma­ke su­re to lea­ve so­me ti­me for Q&A as well in the end.

Spea­kers:
Trond Bran­de is a Cloud So­lu­tion Arc­hi­tect in Mic­ro­soft Nor­way. He’s been wor­king with Azu­re sin­ce it’s in­cep­tion and has a pas­sion for Da­ta (small & big), Mac­hi­ne Lear­ning, and In­teg­ra­tion. Most of his ti­me is spent with cus­to­mers on de­sig­ning cloud ba­sed so­lu­tions whe­re da­ta is key to ac­hie­ving bu­si­ness va­lue. Out­si­de work, Trond is equal­ly pas­sio­na­te about good wi­ne.

Ant­ton Al­kio is a so­lu­tion arc­hi­tect wor­king in CRM & Mar­ke­ting area and li­kes to get his hands as dir­ty as pos­sib­le. He is dri­ving so­lu­tions to­wards cloud, hel­ping ot­hers mig­ra­ting to it and ma­king su­re eve­ryt­hing works well to­get­her. He has wor­ked with Azu­re both pri­va­te­ly and pro­fes­sio­nal­ly from the ve­ry be­gin­ning when it was pub­lic­ly launc­hed and ha­ven’t seen a need to look back. Ant­ton is pas­sio­na­te about crea­ting so­lu­tions that last even th­rough ra­pid­ly chan­ging in­dust­ry trends and choo­sing the right tools for the job.

Kons­tan­tin Le­pes­hen­kov is a Cloud So­lu­tion Arc­hi­tect at Mic­ro­soft Nor­way, spe­cia­li­zing in app dev and De­vOps. He has de­ca­des of ex­pe­rien­ce in soft­wa­re de­ve­lop­ment and a long sto­ry of de­sig­ning so­lu­tions for the cloud. He was al­ways pas­sio­na­te about kee­ping things simp­le, and this is why the new Ser­ver­less pa­ra­digm ex­ci­tes him so much. He is al­so ab­so­lu­te­ly keen on sau­na.
