Ac­coun­tor Fi­na­go is now loo­king for Soft­wa­re Test En­gi­neer Trai­nees to join
their team next sum­mer. In this po­si­tion you will be de­sig­ning tests and
tes­ting the chan­ges ma­de on Pro­coun­tor, a cloud-ba­sed soft­wa­re. As the
soft­wa­re de­ve­lop­ment team uses test au­to­ma­tion in their work, your ro­le
will al­so inc­lu­de co­ding and sc­rip­ting. Ad­di­tio­nal­ly, you will work with
tes­ting the soft­wa­re ma­nual­ly. This is an ex­cel­lent op­por­tu­ni­ty to learn
new skills and get prac­ti­cal work ex­pe­rien­ce from soft­wa­re tes­ting. In this
po­si­tion you will be emp­loyed di­rect­ly to Ac­coun­tor Fi­na­go, and the­re is a
pos­si­bi­li­ty that you can con­ti­nue wor­king with Ac­coun­tor Fi­na­go part-ti­me
af­ter your stu­dies con­ti­nue in au­tumn.

Ac­coun­tor Fi­na­go’s co­re co­de­ba­se is most­ly writ­ten in Ja­va, and they use
the open-sour­ce Vaa­din fra­me­work for pro­vi­ding a beau­ti­ful front-end to the
end-user. JBe­ha­ve Fra­me­work is used for test au­to­ma­tion. Ot­her key
tech­no­lo­gies inc­lu­de MySQL, JU­nit, Jen­kins, Doc­ker, An­sib­le and Git. For
mo­bi­le de­ve­lop­ment they use React.js. You can al­so ha­ve a look at

You are self-im­po­sed, ha­ve a so­lu­tion-fo­cu­sed at­ti­tu­de and ta­ke

As a Da­ta En­gi­neer, you will be res­pon­sib­le – with the help of mo­re ex­pe­rien­ced col­lea­gues – for pro­vi­ding tech­ni­cal so­lu­tions to sol­ve bu­si­ness is­sues th­rough the use and sup­port of (big) da­ta. You will imp­le­ment and de­sign da­ta­ba­ses or Big Da­ta en­vi­ron­ments to fa­ci­li­ta­te the de­sign, de­ve­lop­ment and de­li­ve­ry of sta­tis­ti­cal and pre­dic­ti­ve mo­dels for client pro­jects. Your work con­sists of buil­ding high-per­for­man­ce al­go­rithms, pro­to­ty­pes, pre­dic­ti­ve mo­dels and proof of con­cepts. You con­sult with se­nior bu­si­ness lea­ders and da­ta scien­tists to trans­la­te bu­si­ness goals in­to high­ly sca­lab­le da­ta ma­na­ge­ment sys­tems. Your wor­king sty­le is proac­ti­ve and you flou­rish in a ra­pid­ly chan­ging en­vi­ron­ment.
